DICE has no plans to release more content to the CTE of ‘Battlefield 4’

Over the last few years Electronic Arts has been using of a feature called CTE (Community Test Environment) in Battlefield 4, which allowed users to participate in early phases of new maps and share their thoughts with developers as they seek to release content most pleasant possible for the players themselves; first released on PC and later released on consoles.

In a recent conversation on Twitter, DICE LA producer David Sirland stated that everything the prototype content (including maps) is still available in the CTE, but unfortunately there are no plans to continue adding new content at the moment.

This could be mainly because the company is working currently in a new Battlefield expected for the holiday season this year, so they probably need all the help they can get. Throughout this year, news related to the new title has emerged. While Electronic Arts confirmed its development During the closing of its fiscal quarter, a retailer listed this new installment with the title “Battlefield 5.”
