When you start out in Mario Strikers: Battle League, all that is unlocked is the five different tournaments in Cup Battles mode. There are no options to increase the difficulty until you can prove that you can support the CPUs at the default level. Here’s everything you need to know about switching between Normal and Galactic modes in Mario Strikers: Battle League.
How to switch between normal and galactic modes in Mario Strikers Battle League
The way to prove you’re ready for the next difficulty in Galactic Mode is to win all six cups in Mario Strikers: Battle League’s Cup Battles. The first five cups (Cannon, Chain, Turbo, Muscle, Trick) are unlocked by default, and the sixth is unlocked by winning all five available at the start of the game. Once you have won all six cups, Galactic Mode will unlock.
After seeing the credits after winning the Championship Cup, you can go back to the Cup Battles and start playing the more difficult Galactic Mode. To switch between the two modes, simply press the X button in the Cup Battles menu.
