Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is sweeping at the box office around the world and since December 8, players of Star Wars: Battlefront can emulate the battle of Jakku in DICE’s online shooter.
With the fever for the return of the saga by JJ Abrams, fans wondered if Battlefront would have more Episode VII levels by DLCbut the studio wanted to come forward to clarify that the plans do not go along those lines.
At the moment DICE’s plans go through levels set in the original trilogy (episodes IV, V and VI), hence we can control characters like Han Solo, Luke and Leia in their young versions, without forgetting Darth Vader or Emperor Palpatine. It is also wanted focus on ground combat despite fans’ insistence on enjoying space battles.
This does not completely close the door to what they may arrive in the future, or that we see new content from the prequels or the trilogy that is yet to come. Will users’ insistence on their requests win or will they have to wait for future games in the series?
