‘Caligula’ reveals the prologue of the story

FuRyu and Aquiria join forces again to bring us a handful of information and new screenshots related to Caligula, the mysterious title that will soon be available as a PlayStation Vita exclusive starting June 23 in Japan.

The main new information focuses on the prologue of the game, in which a mysterious presence drags the player into its world with a curious personality and way of acting, which makes us question what we experience and what lies ahead for us. After much uncertainty we regained consciousness in a secondary school like any other, although over time we will discover the opposite.

If you don’t mind learning more about the game’s history before its release, you can take a look at the overview from the prologue below:

Come hear the voices in the dark. The main voice calls itself “μ”. When asked, respond with your name. μ proudly proclaims, “it is better to forget the painful reality. From now on, enjoy your life as much as you can.” The painful reality… By this point you can’t remember anything related. Perplexed and somewhere else, μ says “Welcome to Mobius”, sharing with you the name of his world For the moment, consciousness was cut off.

When you regain consciousness you realize that you are at Kishimai High School. After a short period of time, you begin to regain your memory… You are a first year student at Kishimai High School. A typical carefree high school student living the ideal life of a student in the midst of your youth.

After some time passed, the school entrance ceremony began. You are a student with excellent conduct and impeccable grades, as well as very trustworthy to those around you. You were supposed to make a speech as the second representative of the student year. However, a first-year representative named Kensuke Hibiki appears on stage to read a speech like a graduate.

Suddenly you feel it, you see it in his eyes. You realize that there are similar monsters in the students who had seemed normal until now. You can’t stand the fear, you jump off the stage and start running to escape.
