First details and new screenshots of ‘Toukiden 2’

The developer Koei Tecmo has opened the official website for Toukiden 2, the sequel to Toukiden that will soon be released in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. You can access the website through the following link.

On the page we can find a handful of information and images about the game and its characters. About the latter, we finally have details about the game’s “assassins” and demons, creatures known as “onis.”

About the story, the script tell the adventures of a murderer and his friends who will travel through different locations trying to find the “truth of the world” and of a mysterious power which arose at the time of the battle of “Oomagadoki”. Hakase, the name of our protagonist, will encounter different situations and “magnificent adventures” throughout his journey.

You can find information about some of these characters next:

• Player: An assassin who fought in the Yokohama Defensive Battle in Oomagadoki. He lost his memory of it and somehow ended up in Villa Mahoraba.
• Hakase (The Doctor): A doctor who does research and develops devices. She excavates ruins of ancient civilizations searching for the “truth of the world.” She is also a murderer and uses a gun.
• Tokitsugu: It is a puppet made by Hakase that possesses the soul of a human. Despite her tender appearance, she is “very brave deep down.”
• Gwen: A British woman captured in Oomagadoki, later recruited by a special unit to become an assassin. She uses a shield and a very large sword called Nailing.
• Shinragou: A huge demon with big arms who has led armies of oni.
• Hidaru: A demon of medium height with long arms and a prominent stomach. It is said that he was born old. He commands a group of small oni and can order them to attack us.
