Overpass 2 is out

With car games, you can block the Danube, but I’ll risk the Nile, the Yangtze, the Mississippi and the Amazon as well. That’s why it doesn’t hurt if each new game can flash something new or extra. For this, NACON and the Neopica studio invented offroad for themselves back in 2020, when Overpass was released. It wasn’t unique, it wasn’t flawless, but overall it wasn’t unbearably bad either. And it seems that this was enough for the publisher to get the green light for the sequel Overpass 2 and it started the other day.

During the second part, the Unreal Engine 5 is already roaring, which basically implies cheeky graphics and correct physics. In addition, it offers a total of 33 vehicles in three categories (UTV, ATV and Rock Bouncer), with which we can complete various neck-breaking tracks. All this could be enough for success, but…

So far, it doesn’t look like Overpass 2 is going to change the world. Even if that wasn’t its primary goal, it doesn’t bode well for the first fan reviews on Steam to knock it off the top ten for now. Most people cite the terribly weak physics as the primary reason for disappointment, so this space looks like it, but the game is postponed. Many people also mention that although it is better than its predecessor in almost every aspect, it is not enough to recommend it to anyone, especially not at full price.

In addition to Overpass 2 PC, it was released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
