‘Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness’ now has an official release date

One of the most famous RPG sagas in the world of video games is back. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness now has an official release date for PlayStation 4. The long-awaited RPG title will hit stores on July 1.

In addition to an unmatched story, the game will boast an improved battle system, one of the main hallmarks of the game. Among many other improvements, we can have up to seven simultaneous characters fighting at the same time on the screen.

It has been five years since the last release of Star Ocean so fans will be eager to relive the adventures of the game produced by Shuichi Kobayashi.

It’s been quite some time since the last installment was released and it’s about time we shared with you another “story of the ocean of stars”. I personally love this franchise and have loved being part of the process of resurrecting it. There are few Japanese console RPGs on the market today, which makes this release particularly significant. The franchise has always been characterized by its exciting action battles and in this new game we offer an evolved combat system that can include a group of up to seven characters and where it is easier to execute combos.

Also included are new or additional content and items that we hope will offer added value to the game and encourage you to play it again; I sincerely hope you give the game a chance. We would very much like to have your support so that we can continue telling more “stories from the ocean of stars”.

Among the improvements that the game will have, we will have dual audio options in both Japanese and English, we will also be able to select English subtitles.

The characters have been redesigned by Akiman (Street Fighter) and the OST has been composed by Motoi Sakuraba (Dark Souls)
