‘Uppers’ is delayed in Japan indefinitely

We have been talking to you for some time about Uppers, a entertaining combat title and action in development by Marvelous and by the same producer of the popular Senran Kagura saga, Kenichiro Takaki, who will be released soon on PlayStation Vita.

Even though the game already had a release date set for April 21, 2016Takaki has announced in a new entry on the company’s blog that said premiere would be delayed indefinitely, which implies that the delay could be for several months.

You can find Takaki’s words next:

One of the reasons is that the number of reservations has not reached the amount we thought it would. If we take into account the current market, these are not numbers we can realistically swallow… I want to continue believing in the power and potential of this game.

Although the situation looks quite bad, we must take into account that unlike a cancellationa delay could translate into significant improvements for the game and even a localization for the West, if the enthusiasm of the players it grows. To know for sure, we’ll have to wait for the next update on Uppers.
