Being able to navigate, fly, and move more easily with the help of Pokémon has always been a part of Pokémon games since the very beginning. This tradition continues with Pokémon Legends: Arceus, where there are a total of five Pokémon that you can ride. With their help, you can reach new heights, explore new areas, and catch Pokémon that you have never seen before. Here’s what they all do and how to unlock them.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, these five rideable Pokémon essentially take on HM duty as seen in previous Pokémon games.

  • Get your star member rating up to one star. This can be done by completing all the main quests at the beginning of the game and working on your Pokédex.
  • Meet Guardian Mai in the Obsidian Fields.
  • You will be tasked with defeating an Alpha Kricketune in Deertrack Heights. Fire, Rock, and Flying moves are its weaknesses, so use a Pokemon that has those types of attacks. Once you defeat him, you will see Wyrdeer, but you will not be able to ride him yet.
  • Next, investigate Kleavor Lord of the Woods and continue the main quest until you are brought back to a camp with Adaman and Mai. Here we will give you the flute.
  • Summon Wyrdeer by pressing the + button and roll wherever you want.
  • Wyrdeer can be used to traverse terrain at a fast rate. Pressing the B button charges even faster, while pressing the Y button jumps so you can reach previously inaccessible ledges.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus How to Unlock Ursaluna

    Source: HowHow

  • Complete all main missions up to mission 7 and unlock star rank two.
  • Head to Sludge Mountain in the Crimson Mirelands.
  • Fight and defeat Ursaluna. Note that you cannot catch it. It’s weak to Flying, Bug, and Grass, so use that to your advantage.
  • Once defeated, you will take out the flute and learn how to summon Ursaluna.
  • Press the left or right side of the D-Pad to switch between Wyrdeer and Ursaluna. You can tell which one is selected by looking at the yellow icon at the bottom right of the screen. Then press the + button to summon the one you want.
  • Ursaluna can be used to locate and unearth buried treasure and items. Her abilities can also help you complete side quests to find missing people.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus How To Unlock Basculegion

    Source: HowHow

  • You must first reach star rank three by completing main quests and catching Pokemon up to that point.
  • Once done, head to the top of the cliffs at Cape Veilstone located in the Cobalt Coastlands to meet Palina and her Growlithe.
  • Now go to the Iscan campsite. It is located at the bottom of the Cobalt Coastlands map between Aipom Hill and Hideaway Bay.
  • You’ll need Basculegion’s favorite food to ride it. Iscan will send you to capture a Dusclops. Remember that it only appears at night. If it’s daytime, wait until dark or rest at a campsite until dark.
  • Continue east to Deadwood Haunt. You’ll know you’re in the right area when you see several old ships.
  • Catch Dusclops and bring him to Iscan.
  • Iscan will create the food you need and then you will have access to Basculegion.
  • To summon Basculegion, simply drop into the water. It will automatically spawn below you or you can press the A button to manually spawn it. Basculegion can be thrown by pressing the B button and can also jump twice by pressing the Y button.
  • Now you will be able to access many older Sinnoh with the help of this giant fish. It’s also the only mountable Pokémon that you can launch Poké Balls from. So catch all those sea creatures as you splash around in the water.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus How to Unlock Sneasler

    Source: HowHow

  • Reach star rank four by completing your Pokédex and defeat three Noble Pokémon so far.
  • Then unlock the quest called Scaling Perlious Heights.
  • Head to Coronet Highlands and find Ingo and follow him through Wayward Cave. It’s a bit tedious and slow, but not very long.
  • Once you come out the other side of the cave, you will have to fight Ingo. He has a Machoke, a Tangela and a Gliscor.
  • After defeating him, a cutscene will appear and you will learn to play the flute for Sneasler.
  • You must have noticed that even the smallest hills in Legends: Arceus are incredibly difficult to climb. Well, that’s all about to change with the help of Sneasler’s climbing abilities. You will be carried in a basket on your back as you brave the cliffs of this cold region.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus How To Unlock Braviary

    Source: HowHow

  • Complete your Pokédex enough to get a Star Rank five and defeat four Noble Pokémon.
  • You will have to progress through the main quests until you unlock the Sleeping Lord of the Tundra.
  • Head to the Coronet Highlands and follow the prompts to meet Adaman, Irida, and Gaeric.
  • You’ll have to fight Gaeric, and he uses a lot of Ice types, so a Fire Pokemon will do the trick.
  • After defeating him, you will be told about Sabi, the guardian of Braviary, and you will be tasked with hunting her down.
  • Use Sneasel to scale the ice walls and catch up with Sabi in the three places where she flies.
  • After encountering it three times, you will need to go through the Snowpoint Temple. There are some puzzles to solve here.

    Source: HowHow

  • Run through the temple until you find a dead end. Now look at the Regi statues. Go to the first one and notice the symbol on his chest, now go to the one he is looking at and continue to the door. Now touch the door symbols in the same order you saw them on the statues.
    • Puzzle 1: Ice, Rock, Steel
    • Puzzle 2: Ice, Rock, Steel, Rock, Ice
    • Puzzle 3: Steel, Ice, Rock, Ice, Steel, Rock
  • Eventually, you will find Sabi and you will have to fight her three Pokémon: Rhyperior (level 50), Electivire (level 30), and Magmortar (level 30). I suggest getting rid of Electivire and Magmortar first so you don’t have to fight them all for too long. Both Rhyperior and Magmortar are weak to water and Electivire is weak to ground, so she uses the right Pokémon to take them down quickly.
  • Once you beat Sabi, you will unlock the ability to summon Braviary and fly. Have fun flying around the map much faster than before.
  • You will be able to move much better once you unlock the ability to fly. Note that when she summons Braviary, she will jump a decent distance into the air and then maintain that height while she floats. You can launch by pressing the B button and dive by pressing the Y button. However, there is no button to fly higher. So if you try to climb a mountain, you will have to land and summon it again to climb.

    Surf, fly, climb and more

With these five unlockable and mountable Pokémon, the world of Legends: Arceus opens up before you. You’ll want to go back to places you’ve been before and head to areas you couldn’t get to before. This way you can find and catch more Pokémon to fill your Pokédex.
