We just received a press release about Assassin’s Creed, which confirmed a release for the Xbox360 with the following text:
Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that the version of its new Assassin’s Creed™ franchise for the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will launch with the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system version of the game in early 2007. Assassin’s Creed is being developed by an all-star team from Ubisoft’s world-class Montreal studio. Assassin’s Creed wowed the crowd at this year’s E3, winning the Game Critics Award: Best of E3 2006 for “Best Action-Adventure Game” and sweeping the “Best PS3 Game” category across numerous video game websites.
And the email informing us of this message also contained the following sentence, which neither confirms nor denies the possibility of a PC version:
The PC version of Assassin’s Creed will certainly see the light at some point, but we will keep you informed about further details.
