Snowdrop Engine is the name of the graphics engine responsible for the impressive in-game look of The Division. If you have played the long-awaited Ubisoft title this weekend thanks to the public Beta that was released in the Store last Thursday for download, you will have realized that the appearance of this in-game graphics engine is impressive.
Therefore in a recent portal interview finder, Martin Hultberg confirmed that said engine can also be used in other Ubisoft games. So any other development team that wants can get the necessary tools to work with this engine.
The Dark Zone experience itself is not a specific technology that the rest of the game shares, but the transitions we make between different game modes are the essential part of the Snowdrop Engine.
This feature could definitely be incorporated into other Ubisoft games like Assassins Creed. We are talking about a truly immersive feature.
