The new Ghostbusters could be accompanied by a video game

Unless you are very young… well, not even that, I’m sure you all know what I’m talking about when I refer to Ghostbusters (Ghostbusters), but just in case it is a 80’s movie saga where three parapsychologists expelled from the university dedicate themselves to investigating paranormal phenomena and capturing ectoplasmic entities.

Following the trend of remakes This year we will see a new installment of the legendary series, Ghostbusters IIIstarring women this time and that premieres on July 15 in US theaters. As discussed in Retail Merchandiser Activision would be in charge of accompany the film with a video game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4since this is the distributor that owns the rights to the franchise and they will want to take advantage of the pull produced by the premiere.

At the moment it is unknown which studio will be in charge of carrying it out, if the protagonists will be those from the films or if they will repeat the men and if the plot of the game will be the same as the one we see in theaters or it will be free. The precedent is Ghostbusters: The Videogame, A title developed by Terminal Reality and distributed by Atari that came out in 2009 for PC, PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS, it was not exactly a great success (it sold a million copies). Maybe accompanying it with the movie will help this time.
