‘Firewatch’ sold more than half a million copies in its first month

The indie developer launched during last February a long-awaited exploration title called Firewatch that gained the interest of many fans during its development, due to its concept, its story, its visual style and a mystery feature which gave it a very original appeal.

During a new entry on the official Panic blog, the official distributor of the game announced that this installment has already exceeded half a million sales during its first month. This number has not taken us too much by surprise, since the game previously appeared at the top of the list of digital games on the PlayStation Store above other Third-Party deliveries such as Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal and Capcom’s Street Fighter V.

Panic claims that at first they felt nervous for the success of Firewatch. The company had made an investment with the game, “a modest budget for a game of its ambition and quality,” but equally an investment that they hoped to be able to recoup and had been celebrated much more for Campo Santo than for them. However, in the end it was worth it, and the distributor adds that “we feel grateful. And relieved. But mainly grateful.”

That it seemed to you Firewatch to you?
