iPhone 16: “Further PRICE INCREASE” expected

According to what was reported by today’s source, the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will have a further price increase, also in Italy.

Bad news for consumers who want to buy one of the new iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro… The production costs of the current iPhone 15 are significantly higher than those of the previous models (Phone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro), marking record prices for the individual components , as confirmed by the famous statistical company Nikkei Asia.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max costs Apple approximately $558, an increase of 12% compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max model released in 2022. This is an absolute record for the total cost of components dedicated to a single iPhone model. From 2018 to 2021, the total cost of parts for Apple’s “Pro Max” iPhone models ranged from $400 to $450.

The other models in the iPhone 15 range are also not immune to cost increases. The standard models cost around 420/440 dollars, with an increase between 10 and 16%.

Despite the rising costs, Apple has not increased the retail prices of any of its iPhone models this year and has chosen to absorb the impact of the increased expenses. The only notable change was the discontinuation of the 128GB Pro Max model.

But this will change in 2024 because, just as Nikkei, a research company based in Tokyo, confirms, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro will not absorb these costs and will be spread within the final purchase cost, so they will almost certainly have prices increased.
