Raw Fury has just released Kingdom Eighties, the latest addition to the renowned Kingdom micro-strategy series, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS.
Embark on a nostalgic journey through time and save your town from imminent destruction by immersing yourself in this love letter to sunny summer days, bike rides with friends, and Saturday mornings in your pajamas watching cartoons on TV.
As part of the celebrations for the eighth anniversary of the Kingdom series, all games in the franchise are up to 90% off on Steam.
Kingdom Eighties is a micro-strategy and base-building epic steeped in the retro neon aesthetic of the 1980s. Take on the role of the Leader, a young camp counselor, and make new friends and allies, such as the Champion, the Engineer and the Sorcerer , which will help you protect the city from the incessant attacks of the mysterious Greed.
Recruit the neighborhood kids, assign roles as builders and soldiers, use coins to expand your kingdom and fortify it with walls and defense towers. But be prepared, because when night comes, Greed will attack without mercy. Explore your city, unlock new modes of transportation, discover powerful weapons and technological upgrades, and manage your resources wisely to survive.
According to Raw Fury, the game has the following features:
- A Kingdom Game for Everyone: Kingdom Eighties expands the world and mechanics of the series, providing a perfect experience for both beginners to learn the ropes and long-time fans to fall even more in love with the franchise.
- Faithful Companions: Join forces with three characters – Champion, Engineer and Sorcerer – each with unique abilities that can be combined to solve puzzles and advance the story.
- Urban Exploration: Discover new urban locations never seen before in the Kingdom series. Enjoy the skate park, shop on Main Street and free New Lands Mall from the clutches of Greed.
- Gentle Summer: The Kingdom series’ iconic pixel-art is back, this time with an ’80s neon twist. The original synthwave soundtrack by Andreas Hald adds a soothing atmosphere and takes players back to the days when everything seemed possible.
- New “Survival Mixtapes” Mode: Press play on the mixtape in the pause menu and prepare for a thrilling survival experience. Face endless waves of Greed and see how many days you can hold out.
