The developer of ‘Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture’ will announce a new game

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture was a quite successful title first-person adventure and exploration game created in a collaboration between Chinese Room, SCE Santa Monica Studio and distributed by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 4 as a spiritual successor by Dear Esther.

Indie developer The Chinese Room, who also has worked on other games like Amnesia: A Machin for Pigs, is working on a new game which, according to its latest announcements, we will have new news next week.

The project is being developed together with an independent distributor, which means that the title could end up on platforms other than PlayStation. Besides, It is your own IP and apparently interesting in matters of “advertising opportunities”.

You can check it in the tweets belowwhere we can also see PlayStation Germany wishing them luck:

We’re gearing up towards releasing info about our new game in the next couple of weeks.

With the bonus that because it’s not signed to a publisher, we can be pretty open about development. Which raises the question…
